Fifth day of Christmas - Höglund Art Glass <3

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE glassware! (:

Therefore, on the fifth day of Christmas, I shall share with you my absolute favourite glassware artist.

Höglund Art Glass by Ola Höglund and Marie Simberg-Höglund
#03-26 Raffles City Shopping Centre, 252 North Bridge Road

They are all individually blown and some are a combination of two blown glasses, therefore you get the different layers and different colours. Isn't the colours so pretty and just so bold? I saw them with my eyes and really, it is so so gorgeous.

The lines of his vases are so clean and simple. The designs are just so divine and truly well-thought out. In every and in any dimension, it is just a masterpiece.

The craftwork is also just so delicate and flawless. The skills of the glassblower Ola Höglund is just simply unmatchable.

I so wanna own one of his work!!!!!!

Third day of Christmas - Bake. Grill. Cook.

I made a three course meal. (: I actually didn't plan on the dessert but I just had such a craving. Besides it felt incomplete. :D The main course was something I decided along the way actually.

Antipasta - Stuffed tomatoes
Fried garlic, mushrooms, honey baked ham, oregano, parsley, olive oil and chilli.
I added a little too much garlic though. :D

Main Course - Marinated sliced fish
Sauce: Leftover tomato seeds and flesh of the stuffed tomatoes, two green chillies, fish sauce and white grounded pepper.
I made the marinating sauce myself. (:

It was a lot of experimenting and a lot of fun. I drizzled lemon juice on the fish before marinating it to kill of any sea smell.

Dessert - Chocolate goo with orange
Chocolate, marshmallow, milk, butter, vanilla essence and mandarin orange.
It wasn't quite a mousse since I didn't have any heavy cream and neither was it fully a pudding so I had no idea what to call it so I call it "goo". (: I added quite a bit of milk to make it more runny and less thick so the consistency is like a light mousse or soft pudding. It was easy to make and incredibly lovely.

It would be even more delicious with lemon zest or orange zest when melting the chocolate and mixing everything on over low heat. (:

Christmas Flowers

As I mentioned in the previous post, I had a Christmas party on the 25th. Most of the food were settled by my mother and she pretty much refuse to let me go into the kitchen and make or bake anything.

So I made her allow me to do the floral arrangement instead. :D Really thankful to God that it turned out well and everyone loved it. (:

Here are some photos of the process and the outcome!

I used deep purple Eustoma, Ascelpias fruticosa, Ruscus leaf and golden orange Verticordia nitus (Morrison).

Second day of Christmas - Boxing day!

:D Happy boxing day everyone! Enjoy opening your huge piles of presents. :D

To keep the Christmas spirit going (yes my friends, Christmas s not over yet!!!! It just began!), here are some Christmas pictures. (:

I know this year's Christmas was totally special to me and was the best I had so far because I had:

1) my very first gift exchange and got a memory card reader.
2) a Christmas party with my maternal side of extended family.
3) the best working pre-Christmas fun with this year's full timers and new part timers.
4) met up with my friends whom I haven't seen in ages.
5) got to do whatever I enjoy doing thus getting a very much needed break and time of replenishing.
6) felt what Christmas is really and truly like: a time of joyous celebration with loved ones and to be selfless and generous in giving.
7) I got to share this Christmas love with whoever that stumbles upon this blog.
8) been reminded to be thankful that I could celebrate Christmas and in such a wonderful way with people I loved.
9) been reminded that there are those who are unfortunate or lost loved ones and are unable or simply don't find joy in celebrating Christmas.
10) a conclusion that Christmas is indeed my favourite festival. (:

Hope that this year is the BEST Christmas you ever had!!

Furnitures Love.

As promised, here is my list of designers' furniture stores!

1) Monticello

- LIGNE ROSET ,#01-01 Odeon Towers, 331 North Bridge Road, Singapore 188720
- ROLF BENZ, #01-01, 1 Magazine Road, Central Mall, Singapore 059567

Monticello website and Ligne Roset official website

I love love this place simply because they carry Rolf Benz and Ligne Roset who have both recently became my favourite brands. Every piece you find in Rolf Benz and Ligne Roset is clearly a well-thought design.

I love how comfort and design are interlinked together, especially in designs from Rolf Benz. This makes them not only gorgeous designs but also functional. Ligne Roset piece are all unique and interesting. They play with not just colours but also textures, which I find lovely.

Just looking at these makes me happy. :D

2) Three3three

2 Handy Road 03-04/05/06/07, The Cathay, Singapore 229233

Photos take from Three3three official website.

Three3three is a lovely place that has interesting, one of a kind designs. They have very pretty and surprising piece that are great for people who loves something special.

3) Lush

- LUSH @ Paya Lebar (Boutique), 73 Upper Paya Lebar Road #02-02, Centro Bianco, Singapore 534818
- LUSH @ Kim Keat (Studio for Customization), 21 Kim Keat Road, #01-02, Colorscan Building, Singapore 328805

Photos taken from:
Lush has got tons of famous designs from the Barcelona chair by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and the Eames Lounge chair by Charles and Ray Eames. They also have the amazing Ghost chair by Phillipe Stark.

I am not sure if they are replicas or the real McCoy though. :D Whatever, they still look absolutely gorgeous.

4) Marquis

- Qsquare by Marquis, 16 Tai Seng Street, Level 1, Singapore 534138
- Marquis Studio, Great World City #02-15, 1 Kim Seng Promenade, Singapore 237994
- Minotti by Marquis Interior, 30 Hill Street, Singapore 179360
Photo taken from Marquis official website.

My favourite designs from here wasn't on the web, unfortunately. It is a very spectacular piece that was simple rectangular frames that goes through long thick pole and hung on it. It was asymmetrical and very simple but when i walked in and saw that, I immediately was impressed by it.

Personally, I think Marquis is better at the dark, rich and earthly look because of all their installations, I like this look the best. Maybe it was because of how the showrooms were decorated and designed. I really wasn't very impressed with their white look. The products seemed washed down by the arrangement and it reminds me of bad quality white chocolates.

Nonetheless, they do carry quite a couple of wonderful furnitures that are well designed.

5) Proof Living

- Ion Showroom, 2 Orchand turn, Ion Orchard, #03-15, Singapore 238801
- Stanford Showroom, Vanguard Building, 71 - 77 Stamford Road, Singapore 178895
- Poltrona Frau Boutique, 9-10 Purvis Street, Singapore 188588
Photo take from Proof Living official website.

This is relatively new in Ion but it's a great place! It has absolutely real and completely genuine designer pieces that are of superb quality. They have the Barcelona chair as well, my brother-in-law and I were absolutely excited at the sight of it. :D

FINALLY. :D It took my ages to do this post.
